    Axle seal?

I looked around the sight a bit trying to find the part I need (both front axle seals) Since I have had the front axles in and out 3-4 times now and it's at 135k miles, they are now leaking after finally getting the correct axles installed..... uuuuggghhhh. Another freaking issue!.
Does anyone know where I can find them or the exact part number. Since Advance screwed me over by selling me the wrong axles I am afraid to ask them or any other major stores anything about a VX.

Thanks, I wonder why it was not listed for the '01... I am assuming that they are the same for my '01.

I really don't trust Rock Auto after they listed the VX front bumper reinforcement (with pictures) for like $50 when Isuzu wanted $350. I ordered one anyway just to see, and sure enough it was complete bunk. They ended up sending me some flimsy piece of metal that actually belonged to a Rodeo. NOT cool.

When I was doing my front axle stuff I actually ordered all of the parts to do a complete axle swap (axle seals, axle bearings, steering knuckle bearings, wheel seals, etc., etc.) from Scarff Isuzu: https://www.partswebsite.com/isuzuparts/ They are great and ship out quickly (if they have it in stock).

You're looking for #3 on this diagram: https://www.partswebsite.com/isuzupa...60&catid=10016, but you should probably replace the axle bearings (#2) while you're in there. They are fairly cheap ($18 each, you'll need two) and since you're going that far in to replace the seals, replacing the bearings at the same time will just be cheap insurance.

I take back my earlier statement. If you're only replacing one axle oil seal, then you will only need ONE axle bearing (if you're replacing the bearing at all). Sorry for any confusion.

Are you talking about the INNER axle seal? I assume you are. You should try to get the OEM ones. Join PlanetIsuzoo.com and send a PM to user "JLEMOND".

    Here are the part numbers:

Bart, as far as I know the stuff from Scarff is 100% OEM Isuzu. The stuff that I ordered from them came in an Isuzu box with Isuzu stickers and part numbers on them.

My mechanic is asking me to get the snap rings for it along with the axle seals and bearings. But I don't see those on the list. Does anyone know what he is talking about?

Your mechanic can get the snap rings from Fastenal whenever he removes them. There's nothing special about them.

I wonder why he wants to replace them though. They don't go bad.

Yeah, either they were lost or someone bent the sh||t outta them while removing them, either way, both would be red flags for me.
