Talking Off-roading the Nuke VX at Byrd's Adventure Center

I just got back from wheeling this past weekend. Of course, I had my brother and his jeep with me. Again, everywhere we went, folks were stopping to talk about such a unique rig! I don't really have many pictures, just videos this time. I can get some pictures if need be.

For the record, I think my brother and I were the only ones NOT drinking on the trails. Though we didn't compete (Madness in May), it was still a fun time! At one point, I was leaned over so far, the engine started kicking smoke out the exhaust from oil getting to the top end. Considering how much body lean I already suffer from, there will be swaybars in the near future. Suggestions?

I'm gonna have to go see this VX of yours. I'm down in Little Rock and go up towards Branson all the time.

Nice sounding 327 C.I. V-8. I like how you switched the side fender engine markings to read 5.3L (instead of the normal 3.5L).

I've been busy as of late, but Ozark is just 30 minutes north of Branson. Ever hear of Lambert's (where they throw the rolls)? I live just a couple miles off that exit. Come by sometime! (still no highway driving for it until the hydraulic steering road-wander gets solved)

    Thanks!

Thanks for both the comments. Not everyone on here appreciates what I did with my VX. It was pretty abused and had a bad engine anyway (spun crank bearing) so I opted for a more common replacement. Sometimes I think I should have went with the 4.3L V6 because the hood gets hot to the touch off-roading, but maybe some hood vents/louvers would help that! Anyway, the side decals wouldn't match so nicely!
