    Possible faulty VIN???

My VX is an Ebony, however, when I decode the VIN, it says "Ironman Edition". it even says Ironman Edition on my insurance card.. I matched the VIN to the one on my dash and registration.. Any idea why this is? Here is my VIN:

    JACCN57XX17D01092.

Could someone have painted it, or is this normal? Any other owners ever run into something like this?

Yah, my registration for the Proton says Ironman. The county also lists it as Ironman for property tax (of course they get their info from DMV so I rekin that makes sense).

Back in my Suzuki Samurai days - it was registered as a Station Wagon. Go figger. I guess they just didn't have a category for a micro-mini-SUV.

BTW - You can NOT get them to change it.

Ditto. My Ebony is listed as an Ironman Edition on both my state registration and my insurance.

Sounds like a regular occurrence then. I just wanted to make sure no one "swapped" the VIN plate or painted the truck.
