Strangely, you could buy an entire ford fusion or ford flex used with the ecoboost 3.5l with everything, computer, transmission, body, seats, dash...for about that price.
My NA 3.5L in my 2014 ford flex has 300hp, gets better mileage than the ecoboost too

There was a used one on there for half that price. This one is a brand new crate motor with all accessories...but yea, it is pricey hence the extra coin burning a whole comment.
These engines are capable of 600hp. They are putting a 450 version in the new Raptors and a 600hp version in the new GTs.

The engine is a Ford. I have to draw the line there. If it was GM, then ok, I'd consider the swap.
