Been there , done that, wasted $20 on some contoured flaps that I tried cutting to make fit. No one makes contoured flaps that fit the VX except Isuzu, who stopped producing them after one of the 4 molds supposedly cracked. My bro. works for Carquest and got me some big-@ss , plain wide truck flaps. They install using 2 bolts on each fender cladding and almost hide my 295-45-20 yoko's.

I have the Pro-fit #5 front and rear. They fit pretty well I think.

MUD WHATS?!? Isn't that a sort of blasphemy?

I think the VX was designed w/o them on purpose... i would also recommend getting big ***** tires - that and no mud guards REALLY KEEPS THE TAIL-GATERS AWAY!
    Do they ever stop looking?

Not quite the perfect fit, but I'm happy with my stainless steel ones. Looks and function well. Don't remeber the brand now.
