    miles per tankful

I know there is a forum for this but I think it is closed as there were no reply buttons. I was coming home to Mississippi from PA. Both directions I was getting 285 a tank without the low fuel light coming on. On the last leg of my trip I skipped my usual fill up spot as I thought the next town would have stations (It did not) There was a real long stretch and I was sweating. When I hit 300 I could not believe it. Then when the trip meter said 900 miles (an average of 300 per tank) I was really worried. Then 12 miles out of the next town the low fuel light came on. Ended up getting over 350 miles on the last tank. Real flat driving no AC or Heat but mostly 70 mph so I was amazed.

Hahaha, you are a lucky guy. I get somewhere around 220 miles per tank. 250 if it's all highway driving. I am lifted and running 33" Nitto Trailgrapplers.. and I have a very un-aerodynamic roof rack installed, but still, you are getting great mileage.

In the last couple years I took a few trips to Atlanta and Nashville. On the Nashville trips I purposely waited until the light came on, and that was usually right around 360 miles. I typically fill up when it gets around 350. AC on, cruise control on the interstates at 70 mph. You're right in the ballpark.

    240-280 a tank. Bigger meat with S/C.

But I only fill up once a month. She sits in the garage and only comes out to play on weekends.

This is a silly discussion, as it mostly related to show much you are willing to push things . Is it really THAT different to divide it by the number of gallons it took to fill up and use MPG?
