Hey Joe, is there any reason you decided to make it so small? I figured you would cut it at the firewall and keep it all the way up to the front doors. Just curious. Looks like it is moving right along.
Bart
Yup..a few reasons.
The frame was twisted back as far as mid door, windshield surround etc was toast...
....and top of firewall/back of hood area was buckled.
I did several photoshop renditions, chopping top..not chopping top etc etc...
..and basically...aesthetically liked the small 'pit trailer" look
It still embodies enough of the VX 'look' to be readily identifiable..
..its PLENTY big enough for Moab gear /spares etc...and perfect for hauling
location photo shoot stuff around.
Plus.. its small enough to store easily !!
Jo
I just had an excellent idea....
Keep the gas tank in the trailer and run a stout gas line to your VX. Now you just doubled your fuel capacity and will have less required stops on your way to Moab.
Replace the tank with a keg

Cool, wow, that VX was toast! Yeah, I want to do this exact thing with a pre-87 Trooper 2dr. Someday.

PS - Billy, I like your keg idea.
That's the idea! Why would you put gas in a keg?
I don't drink but figured I would help those that do
