Here's a quick run through of the Vehicross trailer build..
FIRST..source a front end crashed write off!
Strip for spares ... sell bits ya dont want to cover cost !!
Photoshop basic plan....
Chop off roof.....
Cut VX in half just in front of back of doors....
..leaving excess frame for now.
Double wall body will be all "wobbbblyyy" !
Fill void with 'stuffing" material... spray layer of "great stuff" foam
to seal, make liquid tight.
Use two part 8lb or greater pourable foam to fill to 8 inches or so.
This is sand-able,carve-able and STRONG... can be bolted into with lag bolts and epoxy.
Make supports for curved front having cut VX body line to suit shape required.
Bolt 12x to body support frame, sandwiching sheet of "Home depot" FRP bathroom tile board.. fake tile imprint to the inside !!
Make foam "dam" and pour foam for corners..then sculpt to desired shape.
Design tongue ( dont do as i did with landing gear!!)...get welder pal to fabricate.
For some reason I dont have pics of lid construction... probably cause I was running out of time!!!
Its 3/4 ply.. with the roof rails/spoiler etc from crashed VX sectioned and grafted on...then faired in with more two part foam and some bondo.
Have whole shebang sprayed with Line-X to match tow vehicle...
...and attach beer keg !!

She survived Moab..!!
Never really meant to be an Off Road Trailer..more a traveling tool box / spares carrier for rock crawling fun..
......and the inevitable fixes !
Really happy with it... only 'retro' fix is the landing gear.
That got destroyed first trail!
Cheers
