Dome Light

Got a new dome light off one of the members. Mine never worked. Now every time I shut the door the light comes on. Easy place to swap the wires?

Did ya click it to see if it goes off. Or wait to see if it goes off after few seconds

I clicked it off. Did not want my battery to run down. I will give it a few seconds to see next time.

Mystery solved!!! I just assumed that I did something wrong while putting my VX back together since my dome light never worked before. heheheh Light went out.

Is it supposed to stay on when you have the key and drive around? I noticed when I get in and put the key in and drive it does not go out.

If its clicked on then ya ya have to click it off. Then when ya take key out an open door shluld come back on. Then when ya close door will auto go out shortly after. If not ur door closures may be shot. Which i have a set if thats the case

So if I take my key out the light goes off after a few seconds. If I leave my key in and start driving the light stays on. If I push it then it goes off. So I sat in the car with it running and turned off the dome light. I left it running and then opened the door. The light stayed off. I closed the door and the light turned on. I waited and it never shut off. I turned off the car and removed the key. Opened the door and get out and after a few seconds light shuts off. So it only happens when the car is running so I do not think it is the door switch. It must be the dome light circuit.
