Finally making one of these after 5 years of trying!
Taking my 2001 Keiser all the way up from south Louisiana. Staying at the Apache as well! Can't wait to meet everyone!

Sounds good to me. Usually Saturday is a leisurely departure since it is only 6 hours to Moab, but I'm thinking of leaving earlier to allow for the 27 miles of dirt road.
I usually stay at the Motel 6 at I-70 and Kipling, have breakfast at Dennys and head on into the mountains.
Cool, we can meet you at your Motel if we leave on Saturday which is likely at this point.
You are absolutely welcome to convoy...but I wouldn't put off a day in Moab to do so. Your call.
I will let you know if we are leaving Friday or Saturday, it all depends on getting the VXs ready, we have a lot of things that need done before we leave.
ok, i have to go this year... missed 1.5 year... haha probably still take my trooper down, my VX still sitting at the same spot after 1.5 year since i bought it... havent have time to fix it up.

Looks like we might have a bigger crowd than last year, I hope the weather is better than last year.
Good news, the UTV convention (called Rally on the Rocks I think) is May 10-14, so that horde of UTVs will clear out early in the week. Nice.
Thats awesome... I'm about out of Mosquito spray !!
Great news Steve

Kevin and I are planning to meet Joe Darlington in Grand Junction on Saturday so we can take the gateway trail into Moab if anyone wants to join us. We are not sure what time we are meeting yet I will post a time when we know or PM and we can exchange numbers if you don't already have Joe's or mine.
Steve and Dave or anyone else if you want we can meet you guys too if you want to take this route, it is easy but a nice drive off the highway. http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=356
Yeah I am planning on trying it. We will be coming from Denver though, so won't be to GJ until roughly 1-2 PM I am guessing... I've actually got a cell number for Joe D from many years ago, dunno if it is good anymore.
