bank 1 and bank 2 sensor 1 both sending errors. why?

A couple months ago I installed a rebuild engine. while it was out i installed four new o2 sensors because they were easy to get to. This was under 1000 miles ago. Im getting error codes for both sides sensor 1.
does anyone have any idea why? ever seen this before?

You might try just disconnecting your battery for awhile to clear any stored CEL codes, then connecting again to see what happens.

If the engine was rebuilt, the O2 sensor values that were being stored before the piston rings got seated may not have been similar enough to the readings the sensors are seeing now? Resetting the computer now that those readings should at this point remain more consistent may do the trick.

    Easy enough to try anyway.

Hmm no luck! It was looking good for about 20 miles then the codes popped up again. Same exact ones.

    What are the exact codes??
IIRC there are a few different codes for O2 sensors, and that might give us a clue.

    •Intake air leaks
•Gas leaks in the exhaust, located near the oxygen sensor
•Broken, bare or shorted wires leading to the oxygen sensor
    •A faulty oxygen sensor
