    Stock Diving Lights

I'm buying a new front bumper (front cladding) for my VX. The question I have is about the two small driving lights. I'm not to crazy about the small amout of light it put off, and the yellowish tint of the light. Since I'm going to have to remove the front cladding anyway, I thought I might as well do the lights too at the same time. The question I have is can I just replace the bulb in the housing with a brighter bulb, or do I have to replace the housing unit as a whole piece? I do like how the housing unit screws in place right now into the cladding.

    Thanks and Peace.

    Tom,
you can get some 18watt low voltage outdoor light bulbs from you local home improvement store and stick in there or... since you have the front end apart you could go ahead and put some better lights in there.. You can find more in this thread.
There are several versions of the Micro DE from hella but, you can find other lights that could work and just use the info as a guide.

If your looking for a brighter bulb you might try the piaa w2 replacment bulbs. I've posted this information is several other threads but here it is again...

If you check out the thread above, you will find a pic I posted comparing the stock bulbs to my new ones.
PIAA W2 - replaces parking lights, part number 19224
PIAA T-6 - replaces dome light, part number 19223

    Place I bought them - http://www.lightningmotorsports.com/piaa_bulbs.htm

My head lights are the Sylvania SilverStar's 9003ST, I ended up just buying these at the local auto parts store. They had a buy 1 get 1 at 1/2 price so I jumped at it, saved about $9.00 and didn't have to pay shipping.

    I went with the:
PIAA W2 - replaces parking lights, part number 19224
PIAA T-6 - replaces dome light, part number 19223
and the Piaa 19171for the "Horn" Lights above the main headlights (per Moncha) and all looks great. I guess the Sylvania's for the headlights are next....
