    5 point harness

Question: i was thinking about putting a 5 point in. has anyone done this using the stock seats?

i have seen the harness i want, but not sure exactly what would be needed in order for the harness to bolt to the seat, as i want the seat to still be able to open to the back

Whatever harness you decide on, the most important thing is where, and how you mount the ends. The lap belt mounts are fairly obvious, as is the center belt.

The shoulder belts must not be attached to the floor. If you do, and hit something that causes you to move forward, the leverage of the shoulder belt angle will compress your spine.

On a race car the shoulder harness attaches to the horizontal bar that crosses the main hoop behind the driver. Fine, but I don't think any of us have a rollbar in our VX yet.

I have seen in some sports cars what is called a 'Harness Bar" running from a hardpoint on the left and right B or C pillar with attachments for harness, and camera mount.

    Heres an example.
