    fuel regulator thingy broken?

I think this thing is broken in my VX but I can't seem to put my hands on one. Any direction would be sincerely appreciated.

Strange. You should be able to pick one up at your local AutoZone/ NAPA (or Rock Auto as shown above).

Apologies for not being more clear. Actually, we also located the fuel regulator - which apparently sits behind / underneath the components visible on top of the engine. What I'm trying to figure out is the name of the pieces that have two vacuum lines and one red clip on electrical connection. That appears to be broken but I have not yet been able to identify what these pieces are called. Sorry for any confusion.

I see what you are describing, but I have no idea what that thing is or what it does.

Dino did a nice write-up of how to replace the FPR. The picture that you referenced in your original post is from that write-up: http://www.vehicross.info/showthread...ent?highlight=

He doesn't label what the item you are referring to is. Maybe someone else will know.

Can someone please tell me how to upload a photo to this forum? I have a very clear image that I have scanned in - and which may help clarify the part(s) in question. If I can upload my photo that will help immensely.

Do you have a "Gallery" tab at the top of the page right under the VehiCROSS.info logo? If you click on that tab there should be an "Upload Photos" button that shows up below the Gallery tab. Once you are in there it is fairly easy to upload the photo that you want.

I believe that everyone has the ability to upload photo's, but if you are not a contributing member your storage space may be limited.

Page 6C-2 (pdf page 721) of the shop manual. Looks like it “could be” item 12, Duty Solenoid Valve. But as usual, the manual diagrams are less than clear.

Based on the link provided by you gracious folks, I was able to navigate to the set of photos posted by Dino. Still don't know what those components are called but, starting from the top down, it / they are most visible in photos #3 and #4 in the gallery compilation link. There are two vacuum lines and one electrical connection (the clip is the red plastic thing with wires coming out of it. Perhaps someone on the forum can identify it / them based on these photos...Here's hoping.
