What effects would a backwards installed (flow rate wrong direction)PV have on performance, vibration, ect.
Thanx much

You may want to contact Featherfoot, the creator of PV.

It would not hold back pressure. Not sure what happens then but thats what would happen.
2001 Ironman Daily Driver... 3.5" suspension lift (OME912 springs and 1" spring spacer), ball joint flip, 1.5" front diff. drop, 33"x12.5 TrXus MT, 16x10 Eagle Alloy rims, Interceptor, PV muffler, K&N air filter, Alpine Supercharger, Bilstein shocks, and some trimming.
2000 Ironman Project LS-1 VX... very slow progress but someday....... ohhhhh someday......

That much would explain why I feel like I've lost a little low end torque....................I wonder if it could add to vibration as well......
I don't have the PV but with my stainless steel dual mufflers I get some vibration too...usually when its in "D" and I hit 60-65mph I get a good vibe go-n? I'm not sure if something is wrong or if thats just how it is? It does tend to annoy me sometimes though!
The price you pay to be different......
No biggie - slight, slight performance hit.
Thanx tone,
Guess I overreacted a bit, but come on..... its even got an arrow on it in case the guys at the muffler shop cant read "flow"......
Reversed flow doesn't reduce the back pressure as much and decreases the performance gains a little. Placement is critical to optimize performance in the reversed flow configuration.Originally posted by aj2001

Vibration of the exhaiust system is a function of hanger placement. Vehicle vibration is a function of the vehicle.

I don't know if it just takes the computer a while to start "talking" to the PV2 or what (never did the reset), but man, the VX was feeling peppy today. :-) Not that cool outside or anything either (50's). Also had a bit more vibration than I've noticed in a while, but don't know if there's a connection.
Well, I dont know if it has to do with how they welded it back on, but since they reversed it and put it on right today, the interior vibration has gone down a good 30%.
