security light help

Tonite I unlocked the drivers side door w/the remote and pressed it again to unlock the passenger side door which didnt work (1st time it hasnt worked) so I jus opened it from the inside and I started drivin down the road and i noticed the red security light by the steering column was lit and I cant seem to get it to go off and the remote wont open anything now and all the doors are shut has anybody had this happen to them?!

remove the power cable from the battery for 10 min to "re-set" the system.
