    Idler pulley

Has anyone replaced an idler pulley before. I'm picking one up today and was curious. To loosen the serpentine belt do you just need a breaker bar to loosen it? Any help would be appreciated.

Without looking at it, I'm guessing to loosen the belt all you should need is a 1/2 inch ratchet to pull the spring tensioner back and release belt pressure. Then the idler pulley shouldn't be a big deal to replace.

    No tools needed...

...Just lift the belt off with your bare hands. Pull it up then over the pulleys, it's as easy as that.
