VX4EJR, if your lenses are cracked, then you should really check out moncha's hella micro fog replacment, its a pretty good way to replace/upgrade the parking lights if you have to replace them anyway.

    Thumbs up Malibu Lights...

    Hey Dallas4U!

I just tried the Malibu 18w bulbs! LOL.. they are just what I was looking for!

I didn't want the bluish look of the PIAA, and the local parts place didn't have the Silverstars, so I said... what the heck, I'll try Home Depot. Approximately $5 later, I have my "round lights" at the brightness I was hoping for.

If you are looking for a "better than stock" look for a cheap price w/ no melting, the Malibu 18watt bulbs work very well!
    Thanks for the tip!

I just changed mine out to the Malibu 18W bulbs too and love them!

Also, I don't know if any of you other VX'ers noticed, but the stock (O.E.M.) "round light" housing has 18W 12V stamped right on both left and right gray colored plastic. This almost makes them sound like they should have installed these bulbs from the get go!

Dont know about the rest of the country.. but out by me home depot was clearancing their 7w malibu amber bulbs for $0.99 for 2... i picked up a couple packs to put down there in the fog until i figure out how im gonna mount my aux lights.. they dont help with my visibility all that much.. but it makes the vx visible from farther away in the fog

The 18W Mali upgrade was the cheapest one so far and I was very impressed with the difference.

Well I couldn’t find the replacement bulbs for the Malibu lights, but I did find another brand that were 18w 12v. They seem to look good so far, I am too lazy to go out there and look tonight, and its cold. They were only 3.77 for a four pack.
