Is it me, or is Ford leanning towards a more "industrial" look with their overall appearances? With the engine looking VERY squared out and machined, as well as the bodies of the cars being VERY boxy. Don't get me wrong, it looks good on some of the models, like the Bronco. Can;t say so much for the Cobra. I think that design stinks. I would take the old 427 ANY DAY over that.

I like the VW concept a lot, the Eclipse is alright... don't much care for any of the others.

The VW Concept looks like the car they ran last year in The Dakar Rally.

They showed the making of the Cobra prototype on Rides lastnight. Interesting process, and definitely a sweet ride.

I was so bummed when I heard the day AFTER Rides aired that it was about Carroll Shelby ... Then I saw the car... eeeeeehhhhh...

Visually, I like what he did with the the 'Series 1' (and even the original Dodge Viper) a lot more than what they did with this new 'retro-cobra.'

There is a 1/18 scale '427', 'Daytona' Coupe (the '65, not the Dodge), and a 'Series 1' on my desk here at the office ... I think ALL of them look better than the new Ford. But beggars can't be choosers.

Anything Carroll Shelby is okay in my book
(well, except maybe that little POS econobox 'Shelby Omni' 'VW rabbit' clone)

I got to meet the man last year in Atlantic City. I would definitely love to just sit and BS with him for about an hour. Way too cool

Anyway, I read they are re-airing that episode of Rides at the end of February.

Should they still call them proto's. Seems their going the way of Hollywood and can't come up with anything new and original . So what do they do? They go retro!
