Coolness - buy it and tell us how it went. Others will follow if it turns out as well as it looks on eBay...

Very cool. Wasn't there a thread about the Trooper gauges being slightly out of alignment with the VX template? If not, I'm bidding!

don't hate
I think they also didn't have the TOD part as well... and this one DOES! Man, I'm thinking about this as well. I wasn't big on the whole white-face-glow-gauge thing for the VX (got over that a while ago), but I have to say... the night glow would match my stereo!!
By the way...
Their wab page
The Trooper also only has a single LCD odometer where we have an analog trip odometer in addition to the main one, so that won't line up at all.
Over 20 years of Isuzu enjoyment...
....Our gauges though similar are different than that layout, they are individual pieces for the: R.P.M. , Speedo, TOD, Turn Signals, Water Temp, Fuel, And the strip at the bottom.
In our cluster the guages arent connected like tha one in the post so fittment will be interesting...Good luck....x
*Joe Ya Beat Me!* lol
As you can guess man i took it out and switched it up 4 Bulbs like you said man. The other stuff: TOD/PRD123 I "painted red" Takin pix tonight so check back.

Look in my gallery for pics of this, I have bought and installed these. There are issues however - you have to buy a kit for the '94 Trooper to get the right speedo face, and the set for the newer Trooper for the TOD & shift indicator. Neither kit has the right strip for the warning lights at the bottom of the cluster, you'll have to leave those black. The TOD guage is a slightly different size than the TOD guage in our VX's, and the separate gas gauge piece that you need from the '94 cluster has an oil press gauge rather than a temp gauge at the top. The options are to install the TOD gauge from a newer Trooper, or move/eliminate the TOD display and install the gauges (oil press, amps) from an older Trooper. With all that said, I still think it looks great without the TOD area changed, and right now my temp guage says oil pressure, but I'm waiting for warmer weather to figure out what I want to do with it.
There were 4 main wedge bulbs that i change to some apc red bulbs, the TOD and Turn Signals I Scraped the green off and painted a clear red over.....The gauges have a orange type tint on the back but it turned out great, you cant tell but in person it has a blood red type glo....VERY HAPPY ;Dr; For me very much worth tha risk.....x
I dig it! What did you mean by painting a "clear" red? How long did it take you? I may just do this tonight!
....i went kind of quick cause i've taken the dash apart 5+ times so it'll probly be longer if you more carefull which i of course recomend.
The TOD and Turn Signals had a green film/paint on them that i easily scratched off with a knife and then with spraypaint "model car clear red taillight paint" sprayed it the red and THANK GOD, it came out good lol and Im VERY happy with it like i said tha pix are sooooo sucky compared to it in person.
The red probly came out so well cause as i mentioned before the gauges had orange tint behin them so if ya got a different color in mind take that orange into consideration....x
Im out!
Sounds like your red conversion went well, looking forward to seeing it!:yesg:
What size (74?) and how many bulbs did you need? Autozone/Checker didn't have #74...Did you order them? Thanks.
4 bulbs (2 pairs) - Size ?194? (Someone correct me) Its the wedge stlye bule (Same as the horns and corner lamps.)
I got the bulbs from Auto Zone Specifically they are the APC brand bulbs but the generic red ones from there appear to be very similar. Wal-mart may have some as well. Good luck lemme know how it turns out....x
Finished my dash conversion:
Man, I need to drink less coffee before trying to take pics
I used 4 red #194 lights and painted the one little corner one (#74) red. I also made the PRND32L red by coating the back with headlight repair tape. I was annoyed that I couldn't change the color of the TOD light-up bars because the backlights themselves are green. Any suggestions from those that have been in there?
My goal is to eliminate all green from the cabin. It annoys me.
VXRaNgEr & X looks great, might have to do that with mine, but I like the orange color minus all the green but all white might look sharp too?
Good job.
