Had a great time meeting and offroading with all of you. Found it kinda funny on the first run there were 8 vx's all following a yota, but he did a great job of leading, until he ran off that "cliff" I'm up for a run in june/july, somone pick a date.
I was definatlly amazed at all the non-lifted vx's and how well we did. Alittle slippage, alittle hangups, but overall not really anything major. I think one body scuff for body damage and that was it besides some pin strips.
I think the award for slippage has to goto Aaron for his amazing ability to gun those crawlers. And the hangup award has to goto kasia for her little mud play. I think you took about half that hill with you back to chicago It was kinda funny that both happend at the same time, kasia was back in the mudd on one hill while aaron was trying to get up another.
Thanks to all the spotters that helped out, I know I felt much better seeing john, rob and darrin standing at the top of the hills yelling to just gun it over and everything will be ok. Especially on the second run where you couldn't see anything on the way down.
Gill, I know what you mean, I always planned on taking it offroad. But, after you and Rich's horror stories at that first meet I had second thoughts. I'm really glad I just did it. I'm looking forward to the next meet. I know I wouldn't have done half the stuff we did if I wasn't with all of you guys and trust you so much. I think overall I'm more scared of hitting a tree then bottoming out on rocks.
Rich, I gotta say man, you question every hill, you scout it out and I love you for it. I know some disagree alittle, but being my first time I'm glad you were up front checking things out.
Josh, I had a similar problem while out on the trail. Mine died 3 or 4 times after getting out of the river. Then again on one of the hills in the second run. Although, It didn't die at all after that. I'm guessing I just had gunk some place it wasn't supposed to be.
John, man it was great giving you a ride. I'm glad you were able to get out of the house and work out some of that energy. You sure were jumping in and out of kasia's truck running up hills filming and spotting. Thanks for everything especially getting this meet started. Let me know if you ever need a ride again.
