A question that sometimes drives me hazy: am I or are the others crazy?

Hi, I have been a huge VX fan for years; I just bought a 1999 Ironman edition with 80K. I would like to know if I could get some recomendations or references for the best non-dealer shop that any of the members know of in the St. Louis, Missouri or central Missouri (Columbia or Jefferson City area). I know I will be looking at a timing belt/tensioner/water pump replacement in the near future and I was hoping someone here could refer to a non-dealer shop that does dependable, reasonable work. Thanks!
A buddy lives in your area (FLW). I'll ask if he knows of any.
He's on vacation right now - hope I remember to ask when he returns.

Well, I don't know how far it is from you, but you have one of the best joints in your home state!

Hi, although I'm a car dealer in the UK I truly am a big fan of the VX, hence joining 'info'. I've owned mine, a '98 JDM, since Nov 2005, sold 4 & still have 4 more to sell (JDM & US). I've fitted to mine; US leather, nose bra, fangs, fr/dummy sump guard, roof rack+deflector & 18" Chromes. I've kept the standard shocks as they make it far more precise on the road, if a little harsh so what? I just wish they'd made the VX-02, still perhaps I'll try converting 1 of mine?
Hi everyone, I am a Dutchman living in the UK. Saw a Vehicross a few years back and wanted one ever since. I bought one that needs a bit of love and a bit of work, but nothing major, I think. Picked it up on Sunday and look forward to getting it out on the road!
talk to you soon!

Welcome Peter.

Hello everyone. My name is Rick and I live in Ohio. I have been looking around for a 4 wheel drive to putt around in and stumbled across a pic of the VX on the web. Thats all it took. I tried doing a little recearch on the VX and everything I read sounded good. I searched all around for one and the only one I could find to look at (see in person) was at a car lot little ways away from me. So I went up there and took her for a spin. The VX was pretty well faded out and they wanted to much for it. So I kept looking and stumbled onto this website. Been lurking around for about a week now. The way you guys speak about yours made me feel that I had to have one for sure now. So I bought one off of ebay. So now I have to wait for all the papperwork to go through and and have to have it shipped from Arizona. I'm sure I will have some questions once it gets here. Thats about all. Look forward to speaking with you. Looks like you have a great group of members here.
welcome to the addiction
nice color choice BTW

Thank you. It kinda chose me though. It kept calling out to me.
I must of clicked the link about a hundered times to look at it.
I'll second the choice on color.
Now just lift her 3" & put on some wheels with 'offset from hell' & you'll have a friend for life (JK - I like being unique).
BTW - I bought mine 'sight unseen' from a guy in MO last year so I know what you're going through on the waiting game.

It was hard buying it without even hearing it run. They had alot of pics of it and it looked really clean. The dealer said it ran like a top
