    FiberWeed!

    FiberWeed!

Shure, Carbon Fiber LOOKS awesome, but this is DOPE!
I was surfing the composite sites trying to find some less expensive Fiberglass and Cabon fiber fabric and ran across these guys.

    http://www.netcomposites.com

They call it “hemp-wool”, but whatever you call it, we ALL know what it really is: FiberWeed.

Its really being used for car interiors.
    Check it out:

“Hemp, like flax, is also used in the interior trim for cars. “In this market, natural fibres have great appeal for manufacturers since they weigh only half as much as glass fibre, for which they are a substitute, and are half its price,” says the spokesperson for Chanvrière de l’Aube. Similarly, the co-operative has recently turned its attention to rigid plastics. To enter this market, it formed, with Eurochanvre (a subsidiary of cereal growers’ co-operative Interval, in the Haute-Saône region), a company called Agro Fibres Technologies Plasturgie (or AFT Plasturgie).”

Cheech And Chong should have patented it, they’d be rich by now!
    No, I mean REALLY rich.

They’re also investigating whether hemp could be used to make brake pads:

As for the telepaths, I have learned to recognize them and
ignore them. The worst thing you can do is block them and
make them mad, When it gets to be too much, I put my
fingers in my ears and sing, "FLINTSTONES, MEET THE
    FLINTSTONES."

    With hemp?

Stand as close to the fire as you want.
The most you would catch would be a nice headache as is not psychoactive...

Haha- now I would be there just to see the dogs at the the border.

Sorry Space- never meant to imply one wanting to torch their VX (?). Being very pro-hemp it just gets me when it is confused with it's cousin.

If you are going to burn something, burn the right thing is all I say....

DEFINITELY reminds me of a Cheech and Chong movie... can't remember WHICH one, but they drove the step-van across the border... made of dope... and then it partially caught on fire... anyway... whatever works!

Coach... I mean Randy (I often forget who I really am)

    "Up in smoke"

"DEFINITELY reminds me of a Cheech and Chong movie... can't remember WHICH one,"

" watch all my dreams go "Up in smoke"

The name of the movie was : "Up In Smoke" 1978

The step-van was made entirely of marijuana. They called it "FiberWeed" It wasn't exactly an academe award winner, nore was it even hysterically funny, but it was something I remember seeing in highschool.
So I'm dating myself, but dudes, am I the only one here who is 40 years old?
Maybe I'll trade my VX in on a rocking chair!

PS. My Screen name "SpaceTruck'n" Is from a Deep Purple song called " Space Truckin'" from the album "Machine Head" It also had "Highway Star" and "Smoke On The Water"
    Remember?
Space Truckin' wasn't an awsome song, but well...hey Jimmy Hendrix did a cover of it. So it's not like it totally sucked. Plus VXs are like Space Trucks.
    Get it?
See its a double entendre... we used to use a lot of those back then but now everyone just yells and yells and turns up the bass in the drive thu untill I can't think anymore and the flashing lights and I'm starting to taste metal and everythings getting hazy all I wanted was a taco and I didnt get any sauce
    Oh MAN I'm OLD! AAAAARRRghhhh!

    Hey listen:

"The fireball that we rode was moving
But now we've got a new machine
Yeah Yeah Yeah Yeah the freaks said
Man those cats can really swing
They got music in their solar system
They've rocked around the Milky Way
    They dance around the Borealice
    They're Space Truckin' everyday"

Dennis Hopper did a pretty funny movie called Space Truckers. But, like a lot of Hopper movies, if you don't "get" Hopper you won't like the movie...

It was alright, the best part was Debi Mazar (Cindy) I'd have her co-pilot my VX anyday!
