    wheel fitment question

    Hey there gang,

I finally got the fundage to get these wheels I've been looking at:

    http://www.elitealloys.com/product_d...yle=barb+truck

I was wondering if these will actually fit the VX:

    Elite Barb 20 x 8.5
    Size 6 x 139.7
    Offset 6mm
    Tires: BFGoodrich KDW T/A's 285/55/20

    Will these work?
    Any info, much appreciated

They're gonna stick out from the fenders...a lot. About an inch and a half.

Also, those tires are 32"! With the front wheels sticking out that much and that big of a tire, I think you're gonna need some fender trimming and a torsion lift to make it work.

So, I think they'll work, but perhaps not the way you intend?

    Sorry I didn't mention,

I am going to use the OME 912's to lift the VX 2.5-3 inches.
As far as the width of the tires, I WANT the tire to stick out about 1-1.5" for a more "predatory" look.

    Thanks for your opinion!!

Those diffently look sweet. I finally put my 20X8.5 American Racing Hypes on with Hankook Ventus 275/55R20. They rub a little. I trimmed a little off the inside fenders. Now I get people dropping comments like they look sweet or they like the Bajas better. To me I like them both. I just added a new pic in my gallery with them. I'll be adding how they look up close and a front view once the weather breaks up here.

Your gonna have to keep something in mind when buying wheels... you may find that the 6x139.7 aka 6x5.5" pattern are VERY abundant... they are the same size that the full size Chevy and GMC run... BUT... there is a difference... you may have the same bolt pattern, but there is a difference in the center bore. I was shopping around for wheels for my best friend on her Amigo... and found that only certain wheels will fit... she ended up getting a set of the 18x8.5's that TDAWG has... I will be mounting them up for her when I get down to Sarasota this next weekend... I am donating my Toyo Proxes 255/55/18's that were on my VX when I first got it... sooo... anyway... just wanted to warn about center bore and typical foreign (japanese) designed hubs... larger... Sweet.

The wheels and truck don't look bad either.
