I would like to ad an amp and subwoofer to the stock radio. Does anyone have any suggestions on what would work? How much power can be savely added? what about brands? Is JL good? Thanks in advance for any advice.

There are no AC jacks on the stock unit, how are you going to add an amp to it?

Some amps have high level input (speaker wires) if it does not you have to have a converter .(little box lots of wires ) converts high level to preamp level. I sugests you visit the audio store. and have them install.
VX...Priceless...Everything else there's mastercard..
use a pair of line-level adaptors to get your RCA (low level) outputs to run into your amp. Its really pretty easy, but honestly, your gonna get a lot better sounding system if you change out your stock deck for a nice quality CD player or whatnot. Heck, if you change your AM/FM/Cassette and CD Changer out, you also have the chance to get an extra cubby hole in your dash to throw junk. Just a thought. Anyway, you can do it... not a big deal to do either.

Oh yeah, JL stuff rocks... their amps are solid and reliable... and their subs are the same... even their entry level W0's are good... reliable and efficient... and of course anyone who knows car audio KNOWS what the W7's are like... IMO you can't go wrong with JL.
