    Bump Stops Aid Handling?

I just installed the P285/60R18 Nittos and also did a 1" poly spacer lift in back ( and crank up the front T-bars an inch as well). I knew I would loose some handling, but its not so much the handling as the tires are great but the body lean is more than I would like (which is expected). Its also why I only went with a 1" lift. Anyway, what roll do the bump stops play in body roll, or are they only to keep the tires from hitting inside the wheel wells? I know the stock ones sat only about 1/4" or so from the rear axle, so they had to contact quite frequently and help with body roll. Can I simply fabricate some extenders or are the older Trooper bump stops and 1" or so longer.
Not sure what to do about the fronts, I believe those are a little farther from bottoming.

If you are leaning in a turn, on the bumpstop, it is adding to the spring rate.

Once the bumpstop fully compresses, bad things happen. The instant center will change to the contact patch of that tire, and that will cause loss of grip.
