Boy! I just filled up at the pump and broke the $30 mark for the first time. In Phoenix we are seeing $2.19 a gallon.
The Phoenix local news reported that SUV sales are down a bit this year with the high prices on fuel. Ford Excursion was down 20 percent these first couple of months compared to the same time last year.
Toyota Prius sales were up.
I think the auto industry knows that the price for gas will not go down any time soon but only rise higher which is making their gas guzzler vehicles less attractive. For example Dealers are giving a $5000 incentive discount on Chevy's Avalanche.
I think these are the signs of more high prices to come.
What are you paying at the pump?
Anyone considering of adding a Prius or another sort as a second, third car?
P.S. I know there are higher prices in other countries. I lived it but at least those other countries gave the consumer other options of high MPG vehicles that what we have currently in the U.S.A.
