Still about $400 more than I want to pay. I would buy one the instant the price dropped. Till then, they can sit in the box collecting dust.

Alpine also offers a extened warentee on the SC, 3/36,000 for $200.
Not sure what it covers, did'nt get it yet....must investigate first.
Oh, forgot to ask....
I need to get the o-rings and manifold gasket. I saw somewhere that there was a guy to go to get parts and also offers a discount from this board.
Do ya know who and where?
O rings 8-17113-400-0 thats a set of 8 of each ring.
Get thermostat and gasket, and serp belt also.

Question for anyone that has a sc....
Do you have a boost gauge and is it a necessity?
I have one and it it not necessary... but sure looks cool when your at 5lbs of boost!
I also had mine polished and painted... really make the SC stand out!

OOOOOoooooooooo
I got recondmended by my shop guy to do it. He say's it's very important so you can see if your getting max boost.
I'm not kean on it, but if I have to have it...I guess so. Or if you guys tell me different.
Plus my shop guy gave me a estimate of 10 hours for install(mind you this is a high preformace aftermarket shop) they have installed sc's before, they know what they are doing. In my opinion, I don't think it will take that long....what do you think?
10 hours is pretty conservative. I took mine to a "high performance" shop in Dallas... one that has installed SC's in "high performance" cars before, and it still took 2 or so days. $700 later (parts and labor) and it was ready.Originally posted by jayfotos

I believe Tone has said, to do it yourself, set aside a weekend... I believe it. If you totally know what you are doing and have installed an SC in an Isuzu before, maybe a day if you start early and work late.
Just be ready for any extra time or money they add on... not that they will, but just be ready.
Ordered the o-rings and "upper" intake gasket from Merlin at St.Charles....nice guy, helpful.
Just checking though, he or I was'nt to sure to get the lower intake gaskets. I don't think so, only the upper intake comes off...correct?
Thanks- Jay
