    Ugh, Peeling Chrome

Ok, so I just bought her last week. The chrome looked perfect, but after a few days I noted a slow leak in the rear right tire. I saw that it had been plugged, and considered that might be the cause.

Took the tire in for inspection. It wasn't the plug. The chrome is peeling on the inside of the wheel. The space from the peeled chrome is causing a slow air leak. Someone used black silicon to slow the leak. LOL !!!

So I had them clean off all the peeling chrome and remount the tire. 25 bucks well-spent. This raises an issue though - the chrome is going. I'm going to have to do something inside 6 months. Which is fine, because I've only got about 6 months (max) of tire tread left.

So have any of you rechromed? Are you happy with the results?
