My Stereo ate my CDs

If nothing works and you don’t hear it working you might need to take the CD changer cover out while still connected to the wire harness to find out if something has stuck the internal mechanism and if it is actually working.

I had that problem with my original CD changer but unfortunately some plastic pieces in there were already broken so there was no fix for it anyway. It served me to to learn how this changer worked (As if it's useful at all to know ) and it ultimately was the only way for me to get my CDs back.

I had my 6 cds stuck... tried everything I had an error3.. took the changer all apart to get my cds out now I need a new changer is there anything besides the factory one I can just plug and play..? Or do I need a adapter wire harness..?

Bad luck there. As it has been said several times here the only plug & play CD changer that would work with the original head unit is the factory one, although some have theorized that another CD changer from the same manufacturer (Fujitsu Ten) should work.

Unless you're able to find a good offer on an used factory CD changer (not an easy thing: It took me more than 6 months to find one within my budget ), an after market CD/MP3 player or an IPOD-like device will be the way to go.
