    Here's a new one

What would make a noise under the hood like a revving transmission?

I can't really describe it it just happens sometimes but when it does it sounds like the car is in labor. It doesn't seem like it affects the performance.

Any ideas? It sounds to me like a transmission rev limiter or something. It shifts fine.

Possibly, the secondary electric fan for the A/C?

My wife tells me this morning it's more like a surging sound. I guess it could be the AC but we didn't have it on last nite.

It doesn't do it all of the time just when we drive a lot (200 miles)
I know that I need something the ZuZu man told me that was called the vent cellinoid. He found this out when the check engine lite came on. I'm thinking this has got something to do with it.
