    Intake installed, PICS!

Well....here it is, after "it can't be done" and "It won't fit"....it's in! I found a shop that does it all and super cheap.
I'm very happy on how it turned out, enjoy.

What's the idea behind the wider carbon section?

My next step is to dyno it again and see how the air/fuel is. There is a meager difference from running from just the stock air box. Before I added this, I took the stock air box off and put a 3.5" cone(what you see in pic) right to the mass air meter and that made a meager diff as well. I was happy with that just by it's self but I was hip deep in the fab of the carbon fiber tube and went all the way*Bling*.

If I may suggest your next mod, to get a sealed airbox for the filter cone. Lowering the temperature of the air never hurt, and its a pretty easy thing to do.

I thought of that and looked around outside of what people have done here. My opinion, not really worth it....I pulled out the air box and the plastic piece along the engine well and there is a nice 4" hole that brings in "cooler"(I'm in AZ.) air from the outside and with that cone filter it's mounted inches infront of it. I also purchased a heat shield for the filter that will focus the suction at that hole.....more than that I think is overkill.

There is a meager difference when it's cooler out, I'm sure in the winter months here the SC will be at it's full potential......that's when I'm heading to the track.

I got this setup for $15, nice!

    Jay,

Did you make that yourself, or did you buy it?
