    Keyless entry programming

    Hi all,

I just purchased a new keyless entry remote for my Vehicross and I need to program it. The guy I purchased it from said to,

"simply turn key to on position, reach under the dash and depress small green button with a pen as well as the keyless entry for several seconds till horn sounds."

I don't see any green button under the dash (unless I am blind). Has anyone done this on the past and can help me out?

    Thank you!

The keyless entry/alarm "brain box" is located kinna high in the dash. Best bet is to remove the drivers side kick panel but I think you need to remove the scuff plate first (door thresh-hold piece). then pull the kick panel out of its clips. Once they are removed look up into the dash Kinna behind the interior light dimmer switch mounted to the firewall. You'll see a black box with many wires coming from it. I believe there is a green button there that I thought was a reset. Thats most likely what he's speaking of. I've never reprogrammed a remote but I'm sure someone on the forum knows how.
    Hope this helps...carlymac

Hi.. can you tell me what I need to do if I don't have any remotes for my VX? Do I need to take a trip to the dealer for all this? I read that I need an original remote, but I don't have it. Thanks so much... dk~

Yeah, I can tell you what you need to do! You need to buy the extra remote I've got and then use the green button to program it and you'll be back in bidness. My pal Jimbo posted an excellent summary of the green button trick a while back. Don't know the thread but if you use the search, you'll find it.. If you want this remote just shoot me an email - slowpro48 at yahoo dot com

I bought my remote from St.Charles Isuzu for $36.
From Unimog to VX - a serious change in velocity - a small sacrifice in voracity.
