    Thats the best looking scoop I've seen on a VX! It doesn't overwhelm the looks. I think I'd go with flat black!

    I'd Flip it around for Extraction....

    Nice looking scoop. You'll get less drag if you orient the open area facing the windsield instead of facing forward, benefit being a means for extracting heat if the insert is open under the scoop. 2cents

    Looks cool, let us know how it works out for you

    thanks everyone. Yes, this is the lund universal scoop but modified. I did a lot of cutting to make it look like this. After I got the scoop to look like I wanted it, I molded it into my stock insert. It's primed, but I still cant decide on the stock charcole color, or painting it to match the hood.

    My 2 cents is the stock charcole color. That would make it appear to be stock and make it all the more trick, well at least thats what i think.;Dr;

    Thumbs up

    I think it looks nice..especially since you fiberglassed it to the factory insert for a seamless design and indicated that it is functional!

    I never much cared for the "fake" setups that are attached with double-sided tape.

    I looked at one of those new Dodge Ram "Rumblebee" edition pickups at the Pittsburgh Auto Show...and the only turnoff was the "fake" hood scoop on a $40k (Hemi) truck.

    I'll go on record as saying that I don't like the scoop itself, although the fab work looks really well done!

    Morgan, How did you make your hood scoop functional? Does it make a difference?

    Is that an actual scoop from a WRX? If so, how did you install - does it just bolt on? I realize you'd have to do some fabbing for the functionality - but does the scoop just bolt tot the hood?
