I was taking a look at all the scoops and extractors everybodys been messing aroung with and I came up with an idea. What if we adjusted the back edge of the hood insert (edge closest to the windshield) so that it was raised up about an inch or two. Then you could cut a large vent slot in the hood under the insert and get loads of hotair extraction. Now I know the insert is somewhat fragile but if some kind of lowprofile ramp-shaped bracket was made we could bolt the bracket to the existing hood holes and then bolt the insert to the bracket. I've seen a very similar idea used on sport-compact hoods for a while now but instead of jacking-up the whole back edge of the hood we could just do the insert. What do you guys think?
