Step aside H1..
CXT
A CXT with a DVD player, leather upholstery, tilting dump box and rear-view camera would cost $115,000.

I'll take an Original Hummer anyday over that POS. I'd even go places that thing could never even dream of going.
Might be good for some, just not for me. I think fully functional and not just looks.
Blah @ CXT.
Blah @ Hummer H2.
H1 is still the king.
Steve
The H1 and all the rest can only hope to be king, for this is the true heir to the off-road throne...
Just ask the US Army, they have to ride with the 'mogs during joint exercises 'cause they go where the Hummers can't.;pg;
Over 20 years of Isuzu enjoyment...
And its a BENZ!
MOGS=portals=better than a H1.
H1 with portals would be ubar.
2000 Black VX 105k
The HMMWV/H1 already has portal axles, take a look next time you see one.
The Unimog's real trick is that it's entire ladder-frame chassis has an extremely high degree of flexibility, allowing it to twist as needed to overcome terrain and obstacles. Still in production and use worldwide for over 40 years. That's a pretty good endorsement in itself! The 416 DoKa pictured in my earlier post is a personal fave since it's diesel, has the crew-cab and 3-way tilt bed. Front and rear PTO's mean you can put some major winches front and/or back, not to mention all sorts of other accessories. With ultra-high speed axles (good for 70MPH) an example like that one will set you back about $22K if ordered and built out by a reputable 'mog shop.

Ok, but is a Unimog even street legal in the US?
You betcha! There's gobs of 'em here in Florida. I almost got one from this place just North of Atlanta: EuroTruck Importers. Check out the Pinzgauers too!
Just goes to show that there is nothing 'new' out there...
