Cell Phone Charger

Hi Y'all:

Does anyone have a problem charging their cell phone using the cigarette lighter? I've tried to charge my phone (with the engine off) but the dashboard makes a clicking sound when I plug it in. I'm surprised they didn't put a utility charger in like most cars do.

Cig lighter outlet is only hot when the vehicle is on. The clicking is the cel phone feeding volage back into the VX’s electrical system. You could rewire the outlet to be hot all the time or add others that are hot all the time - I have one on the top of the shifter console next to the power button, one in the rear below the ash tray and one all the way at the back by the jack.
