    IMHO, pretty tacky.

How about just taking the rodeo switch panel and using it to replace the fuzzy-h.

A few have used the Passport panel with good results. I just want to see what kind of "missiles" the JDM VX has mounted. I'm thinking some Zuni pods would look sharp on the luggage rack!

As we are on the subject anyway.....

If anyone has replaced their fuzzy hole with something else and you have the insert sitting around....please let me know. I have a project sitting on the back burner waiting for a fuzzy insert.

    Thanks,

    Lightbulb

Call Merlin at St. Charles, they're only about $5 or $10. Otherwise I've got one with holes in it from my last bit of tinkering (the fuzzy hole mounted satellite tuner).

Depends. Where are the holes? If they are in the "roof" I can probably use it. If they are in the bottom or in the back.....then I'll pass.

What I am doing is: I need to inconspicuously mount a small speaker out of sight for the voice audio of my GPS system. I don't want to be tearing up the instrument panel or its housing. My plan is to perforate the roof of a fuzzy insert and then mount this speaker on the outside top of the insert...oriented so that it is facing into the insert. (The perforations would be a makeshift speaker grille, you see).

So, one with a hole or holes already in the top would serve to begin with.

    Thumbs up

Cool idea, sounds like it'll work nicely. Unfortunately the fuzzy victim of my last project wouldn't do for you. Keep us posted though!

When I actually get around to installing my popper switch, you can have my fuzzy hole.
