    Replacement tires

I am trying to get tires for my 2000 VX. Bridgestone said 2 months to get a dueller H/T 245/60R18 which is what came on the car. Did anyone substitute a tire that is about the same size and would be good in Chicago.

I recommend getting a wide tire (upt to 285) for a much better look, ride and handling than those low end stock tires they came with. Search and you’ll find the many different brands owners have gone with. Follow this link to a tire size calculator: http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

    Thumbs up

My Duelers are seperating with less than 30K miles on them and as far as I'm concerned good riddance. Just picked up a set of Kumho Ecsta STX from TireRack for $100 each in 255/55VR18 and am all giddy. Kumho is really starting to shine as a performance tire manufacturer and they're proving it on the track.

I drive a Chevy Astro cargo van with Kumhos on it for work. Considering some of the situations I've been in, the road conditions and the serious loads I was carrying at the time, I've got no complaints whatsoever!

Mine come with 245/70 R16, but have changed to 255/65 R16 this makes the tyres look wider without having any troubles with speedo or rubbing.

I have also gone with Pirelli Scorpion STR these are very quiet and are comfortable to drive.

I was also highly recomended BF Goodrich All Terrian, as these are excellent off road and on road in the wet, which lets down a lot of agressive off road tyres.
