Shox Warranty

I can start to feel more of the road that usual and now and then I feel metal to metal when I hit certain bumps.
Could it be something in my steering stsem is gone or are the shx gone or both ?
Are shocks covered under power train warranty. I have a 99VX and I believe they cam with 6 years powertrain
