engine loud

Hi Guys

Since we use Gm engines to some sort, why are our engines louder and not as smoother than say GM cars/trucks.
Or is it my VX.
I have 33K on my 99 VX and it does seem its a bit louder/coarse at the engine, is something wrong ?

Louder as in a diesel type sound?

if so, check your egr nut to see if its loose.

Yeah, I gotta say I didn't think my engine sounded any 'louder' than any other car or truck out there. Now... when the EGR tube nut had wiggled loose it sounded like a dying diesel. Maybe that is was you are referring to.
