My point only was that I liked the mitsu product better than the chevy.. the acsender sux compared to the monteros..... I hate the idea of chevy s-10 isuzu's and trailblazers... they can't offroad where the monteros can...

    Lightbulb

That's not a purchase move, it's an investment move. And considering they'll be the second largest share holder after GM, which only has 12%, isn't saying much either. And notice too that the stock purchase is by Mitsubishi Corporation, not Mitsubishi Motors. Nope, with Isuzu's stock having climbed up over 600% recently this is investment. Especially with Isuzu coming back to America soon and the intent to market their insanely popular Gemini line of cars. And as far as GM making Isuzu products, you can forget it. Isuzu started last year to officially kick GM out and sever all ties, so no worries on that front. Check out this thread for more info: Isuzu Corporate Info.

That's not what this article the other day in Automotive New says...
    http://www.autonews.com/news.cms?newsId=10639

Isuzu getting cash from Mitsubishi Corp. Ailing automaker also seeks help from GM

Isuzu Motors Ltd. is getting a cash infusion from two Japanese companies, and is also asking existing shareholder General Motors to increase its stake. ....And in discussing Isuzu's first half fiscal year financial results, President Yoshinori Ida said the automaker has asked GM to increase its investment. Ida said GM was considering the request....
