Thats some pretty kewl info... hmmm... I'm assuming it is limited to 115mph by the computer... anyone ever have theirs that fast?
I think once I get the LS1 swap done, I'll have to do my OWN top speed test.

    Lightbulb

Yep, engine starts "clipping" around 115. Didn't have the GPS at the time to verify actual speed though.

Yeah, the article mentions that the VX is governor limited.

Which reminds me of something at work recently. We now have an Isuzu NRR TurboDiesel box truck. My supervisor (who calls everybody else an idiot all the time) took it to Tallahassee and had a fit because every time he set the cruise control it dropped back down. He stopped about a dozen times on the way back, checked the oil, etc. All it was is that he kept trying to set the cruise control for a speed over the amount the speed governor would allow. Never crossed his mind, and it was funny as could be. This guy supposedly used to work on airplanes and helicopters in the Navy. Good grief. Especially when he told the boss and the boss figured it out in a nanosecond and consequently learned was trying to exceed the speed limit. The guy has had several accidents and it's a wonder he still has the job.

Up around west Point I managed to break 115, it was dowhill though. Nothing like seeing a military boy garding a depot entrance with a riffle watch you scream by that fast.... that was a fun night.. I had just gotten the truck back from Ceremy Isuzu, they changed the whole transfer case and some sensors, my vx didn't feel safe past 75, guess they fixed it. Yeah, I def. remember being over 115 if anyone wants to argue about it.. I couldn't keep it that fast, but am sure I broke it.

If I can ever find a safe place to try it (very cautious about where and when I do these things), I need to get mine up around there some time. I've never had it over 90 since I got it. There was a good place when I wanted to do that in my Avenger, but the Avenger was a bit quicker and stopped faster. In the VX, I couldn't get it up that fast and be able to stop again before hitting the cross street like I could in the car.

I must add that it feels fairly stable at that speed too.

More than once, and I agree, it felt very stable at speed, just a bit concerned about running the Duelers for more than a few moments at that speed. The machine is not the weak link in this chain.
