Spare Tire Roof Rack, Which One to get?

Well, I recently I had a blow out on the back, I put the factory yellow rim spare on the back and drove about 300 miles.

This spare worked ok but because I couldent drive normally I purchased a full size spare and wheel.

But I would rather not carry this full size spare in the back and I heard about the Yakima Load Warrior from this site.

I need to buy a roof rack to carry this full size spare, is this my best option, or are there other viable options??

    Please advise, much appreciated

i bought the load warrior, which yakima makes. i then bought the spare tire holder they sell to fit onto the load warrior. thats it!!! its pretty simple setup, and i really like it. i have my spare up there right now. ill post a pic to show ya.
i also hooked up lights to the same rack, works very nicely. heres a pic of that.

of course, this pic is BEFORE i put the spare tire in the rack. ill get a pic of it in there if u want...

Here's the "extended" version (Yakima Load Warrior, with extension, spare tire carrier, and locking brackets):

I've always been very satisfied with my Yakima system. They make a very good product.

If you are interested in buying, I ran across this site who is having a 20% off sale on certain Yakima products:

    Load Warrior (#7070) $232
    Extension (#7074) $100
    Spare Tire Carrier (#7076) $56
    Locking Brackets (#7064) $28

AT SEMA I spoke with the major manufactures of the new aluminum baskets and they WILL fit our wing bars and IMHO go better with the lines of the VX than the tube ones. http://www.vehicross.info/forums/sho...?threadid=5055

Also saw a new rack at Yakima that pulls down off the top for loading and then pivots back up on top but for some reason it is not on their website.

I am putting together a list for things I want and the setup here is suiting me just fine, I found all the part numbers for the rack, basket and spare tire mount. My question is whether or not you guys that have mounted your spare tires up there have come across any lock mechanism for the tire or do you just hope no one takes your spare.

EDIT: Q: Can I lock it?
A: Yes, it accommodates lock styles with a shackle diameter of 1/4".

I read that on the Yakima website. Thanks anyways
