Question Has anyone fitted 33x13.50 rubber ???

I have gone through all the lift posts , and I guess its a question of OME or Calmini spring swap to get 2.5 to 3 inches of lift.

I see several posts with people putting 33x12.50's on their rides...But has anyone put 33x13.50 on a VX..??
Did you go 15 or 16 inch rims....??

Do I need a full 3 inch lift to fit 33x13.50's or will the OME 2.5 inch lift springs be enough?

    Any feedback very welcome...

    Thanks

    Jo -

I've got 285/75R16's on my VX, with an OME912 Spring lift. The tires are 32.68" tall and 11.33" wide. They fit nicely, with minor trimming of the fenders. 13.50" tires are very wide, and might fit with a LOT of trimming, but I'm not sure if it's been done.

I am running 12.5's and I had to do a LOT of trimming. I would definately go with an 11.5 if possible. 13.5's would require TOO much trimming.

I already trimmed the back of front wheel wells more then I really wanted to and after this last weekends 4x4 trip I need to do more trimming.
2001 Ironman Daily Driver... 3.5" suspension lift (OME912 springs and 1" spring spacer), ball joint flip, 1.5" front diff. drop, 33"x12.5 TrXus MT, 16x10 Eagle Alloy rims, Interceptor, PV muffler, K&N air filter, Alpine Supercharger, Bilstein shocks, and some trimming.

2000 Ironman Project LS-1 VX... very slow progress but someday....... ohhhhh someday......

    Hi Alaska...

When you say "Too much trimming"...can you give me an idea of the extent.
Is it just front of front wheel cladding ...or more?

I have a set of 33x13.50 Mickey T Baja Claws that I'd love to put on if I can.

    Thanks

If I'm gonna have to really butcher my rig maybe I'll get some 12.50's ...

..but I think the stance with 13.50's would be awesome.

    Thanks again.

Check my gallery, I just put the pic in there with a short description of what happened.

I also have an extra 1" over just OME springs

    Hi alaska...

Thanks...I get the orientation of the picture now.
Looks to me like 13.50's are gonna be TOOOOOOO big!
The Ebony i just got is in "as new" condition , tough call to start butchering it too much just yet.

    I really appreciate your input.
