Agreed. In the past year, I have seen "2" C/F hoods lying on the sides of roads, and I am SURE it's because they blew off due to wind resistance. Although it is a strong material, the flexibility and weight of the hood are agents in allowing forward wind resistance lift them, breaking the hood latch free from the framework, and WHOOOSH.... airborne hood. A more sloped hood is much safer from this occuring, bit I quite sure, that even with the scoop insert in place, I have far more drag than the OEM design. I am DEFINATELY going with aftermarket hoodpins. Call it paranoia if you will, but I would rather be safe than sorry. Plus, it will save me from the embarrassment.
