Thread: computer in my VX

If you don't need a full blown PC in the car - some new PDAs make a much better addition and give a lot of the same functionality in a smaller form factor. I've been using my dell Axim X50v in my VX for over a year now. It has BT and WiFi built in, I use it with a Rickaline BT GPS unit and navigation is outstanding - on par with my wife's Infiniti FX35 built in GPS unit. I also use it for MP3 playback and video playback while not driving. The best part it is completely portable so I can take it with me anywhere. I highly recommend looking into that option as an alternative.

    Thumbs up

Check out coachreed's monitor install and for those of you thant don't like the mac there is the new pc version from aopen. Nothing against macs, but the software just isn't there: navigation or frontend. It's a shame too because a mini loaded is much smaller and cheaper than what you would spend on building an equal pc. good luck with the builds, hope to see more join the carputer club
