Were are you getting duals for $300 installed? The local shops around here charge at least $400 for any custom work.

I did a bit of searching and saw people posting about a "Y" pipe installed for back pressure.....now is this for people with a stock motor?

I'm going with a Magnaflow 2 in 2 out with no Y pipe, I'm running with a SC. It's almost common sense(to me) that with a SC pushing more air in, giving room to push air out is a no brainer.

    anyone?

Since you have a s/C you are correct, you dont want much back pressure. A lot of people including me run a single in dual out muffler to Y their exhaust into duals. You can run true duals if you want dut the power difference on your motor will not be much different than a good Y setup nd be les expensive to fab. Magnaflow is good stuff, they are my second choice after my mufflers so i think you will be pleased. Let us know how it turns out.

    Morgan-tec,
Not to hi-jack this thread, but did you ever get that sound clip of your muffler? I'm thinking about doing a muffler upgrade, but I'm VERY concerned about the sound I get. I don't want the raspy, try to make it sound like a V8 (which of course it cannot) sound - I want a more mellow European sound like an old Jag, Ferrari, etc.

Just got back......and.....what a F'n difference it made! It sounds soooo much better and has such a nice low/drone sound. I paln to diconnect the battery for the coputer can get the feel for the new set up. The guys at the shop did a top noch job, I could'nt be happyer, clean lines and nice welds.

Oh yea, and the 3 1/2 dual chrome tips.......NICE!

Jumping back in to give a sound comparison, it's got that European sound like a Ferrari, etc.
