I don't think it will hurt your chances of selling the VX - in fact, it would probably improve them. I think a lot of potential VX owners plan to do mods, and if they are done right, it only adds to the uniqueness. However, I think the bigger concern is whether you'll ever recover the money you invest. If you are hoping to sell it at a high price, I don't think that adding expensive mods is going to increase your chances. If recovering the money you put into mods is not a concern, then I say go for it.
