    GM troubles continue

    http://cnn.netscape.cnn.com/ns/news/...&w=RTR&coview=

By the way, I heard the new Pontiac G6 has been a tremendous flop. I remember thinking it wasn't doing much for me when I saw the first commercials, but I heard yesterday that the leftover Grand Ams it is replacing are actually outselling it.

Not that I really care but Febuary G6 sales and year to date are greater than grand am. But I guess we have to wait until the end of march to see if it is true. The G6 does nothing for me either, but the coupe and convertible do look a lot better than the sedan.

It is kind of funny all the negative press GM has been getting recently. I have seen a lot of their future product and some of it rocks from a design standpoint will others are "OK." they certainly have a lot of work to do. The only gm product I would own personally would be a beater tow truck/suv or the new corvette Z06(which will be a few years before I can afford)

    I got my info here:

Not a pretty picture. I know that the March G6 numbers are expected to be the strongest for the car thus far, and granted sales will suffer until the Grand Ams are gone and the 4-cylinder G6 models are out to round out the lineup. But the reviews aren't so good and when you consider what people probably shop it against... it's not looking good at all.

I attribute some of this to a bad media campaign....

    "The first ever G6......................"

    Big deal.

I've got the first ever Vx!!!!!!!

The sales should pick up when there are more models and configuration choices.

    Wink

I wonder if the boys at GM are restless during their sleep thinking about "what could have been" with the GTO had it gone RETRO like the new Mustang:

maybe if they bring back the camaro they will wise up and do that retro concept I saw a while back with strong late '60s design cues.
